Oftentimes women put the emphasis solely on their makeup and clothing styles to feel their best, but the truth goes way beyond this; there is more to it than how you look. To feel more beautiful is in fact more subtle filled with various intentional small habits that leave others wondering what you possess that they don't. It's that 'Je ne sais quoi' allure that elevates your confidence once you enter the room.

Whether, you embody these 15 habits or not, you can always learn and apply these practices to your life. It's never too late to enhance your feminine aura.

  1. Brand names are trendy, and therefore cheap looking if their logos are displayed loudly on your outfit. Go for quality materials and classic cuts that won't go out of style for a more elevated look.

  2. Over-accessorizing makes you look like you're trying too much and takes away from your natural elegance. Less is more.

  3. Maintain your personal appearance- clean face, hair brushed, nails clean signals that you value yourself and others will treat you accordingly.

  4. A subtle fragrance that lingers once you walk into any room leaves others wondering about how you. ( I personally haven't used perfumes in over a decade, rather my own essential oil concoctions that are healing and smell heavenly! Lavender, orange, frankincense and myrrh are a few of the ones I enjoy).

  5. Assure your overall look is polished but not too perfect with too much hairspray or makeup on. Effortlessly refined is priceless.

  6. Pay attention to the energy you exude- being critical, anxious, reactive, scattered and unfocused demonstrates to others low self-worth.

  7. Over-apologizing is something to avoid. Only apologize when it's truly required, not for simply existing.

  8. When you are laughing at others' comments that you truly don't feel are funny signals insecurity. Redirect your attention inward and not outward for people pleasing. Stillness communicates true confidence.

  9. Move slowly- I know it's not always possible for us busy moms, but when you can, align your movements to intentionally slower and less scattered pace. Breathe, enjoy life and smell the roses.

  10. Maintain good posture- Don't shrink in hopes to make others feel more comfortable. You are meant to shine! I've done this, and the outcome wasn't successful. People don't accept you, are still jealous and will mistreat you. Be who God created you to be- a confident woman who values herself. You can be humble while simultaneously exuding strength and confidence.

  11. Oversharing is to be avoided. We don't walk around in public nude, so why shall we completely uncover ourselves emotionally with others? Keep your most private matters between you and your husband and possibly a cherished long-time girlfriend.

  1. Leaving social gatherings calmly when you've been disrespected or when things simply feel off let's others know that your presence is a privilege.

  1. Avoid checking your phone first thing in the morning , on a date with you husband or girlfriend. Connect with God first, yourself secondly, and others in real-time.

  1. Incorporate box-breathing when feeling anxious or overwhelmed. Inhale deeply and hold for four seconds and exhale deeply and hold for four seconds. Repeat this four times before returning to breathing normally and you'll instantly feel relief and back to your normal self.

  1. Seek validation only from God and not from others. You don't need to prove yourself or impress others, be at ease with who you are. Afterall, there is only one you!

None of these habits are about vanity, rather they make you irreplaceable. When the points I've mentioned become a part of you, it changes the way you live, feel about yourself and how others perceive you. All of these habits don't require much speaking if at all, merely your natural cues that are a contributing to you leading your best life!
